Where Young Badgers Learn to Play Lacrosse
The Mississauga Badgers U7 (Paperweight) and U9 Box Development League program is designed for young athletes that introduces players to lacrosse in a fun, development-focused environment right here in the community. There are no tryouts for U7/U9 Development League, making it an accessible entry point for both new and returning players.
U7/U9 Development League builds fundamental skills while introducing structured gameplay, teamwork, and age-appropriate competition through a 3-on-3 game format. Contact is modified at this division, allowing players to “place and push” on the ball-carrier’s arm, while off-ball contact is penalized at all times.

U7 and U9 players are required to wear full box lacrosse equipment, including a lacrosse stick, lacrosse gloves, a CSA-approved helmet with face mask, mouthguard, shoulder pads, arm and elbow guards, rib and/or back pads, and an athletic support cup.
